The interim chief minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has decided to provide all outstanding No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to gas stations throughout the state by May 1.

The main objectives of this action are to end unemployment and promote investment in the region. CM Naqvi has mandated that all outstanding applications be resolved within 15 days in order to ensure the prompt issuance of NOCs.

With each new station employing an average of 30-35 people, this project will create thousands of employment possibilities for young people. Additionally, the NOCs granted to more than 1,200 gas stations will create over 30,000 jobs.

All concerned agencies have been urged by Naqvi to speed up the issue of NOCs and end pointless delays. He emphasised that NOCs ought to be given out as soon as the legal requirements are satisfied.

Naqvi has also emphasised the value of transparency in the process of issuing NOCs. He thinks it will increase citizens’ faith in the government to provide prompt, equitable services.
