Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah opposes “forced” private school closures. The education department issued a circular to address the issue.

The government says private schools must operate uninterrupted. He stressed that the education department will deregister any private school that remains closed without good cause.

Shah added that private and public schools in the province must follow government rules. In a similar event, the Sindh administration said that matriculation exams would not be postponed despite ongoing statewide unrest.

Thus, secondary school exams went well. The secretary and controller of examinations of the Board of Secondary Education visited many examination centres to monitor the process.
