Google stated in its 2023 quarterly report that the ‘Google Other’ division’s sales increased by 8.8%.
The first quarterly report for 2023 from Google’s parent company Alphabet has just been revealed. It reveals a solid growth in total revenue but an even bigger boost in sales for the “Google Other” segment, which includes sales for the Google Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 6A, and Google Watch.

The study states that the combined sales for the “Google Other” sector increased by 8.8%, indicating that consumers are beginning to take an interest in the Google Pixel phones and Google watches.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, expressed pleasure with the company’s first-quarter performance in the company’s quarterly report, emphasising significant growth in both the Google Search and Cloud businesses.

“We are pleased with our business performance in the first quarter, with Search performing well and momentum in Cloud,” Pichai added in the news release.

We made significant product enhancements built on advanced computer science and artificial intelligence. Our North Star is giving our users the most beneficial solutions, and we anticipate enormous opportunity in the future as we continue our long history of innovation, the CEO continued.

Despite facing stiff competition from TikTok, YouTube’s earnings came in above expectations at $6.69 billion.

Despite a strong start, Google laid off almost 12,000 workers in January, or about 6% of its whole staff.

The company’s share prices responded favourably to the release of an outstanding quarterly report; within hours of the announcement, the price of the stock increased by 3%.
