Pakistan Railways revised timings for two of its passenger trains. Shaheen express and Allama Iqbal passenger train. This change comes after the decision to facilitate the public using the train services throughout the Pakistan.

As per the revised schedule, Allama Iqbal express will leave the Karachi Cant station at 03:30 PM instead of 02:15 PM in order to reach Sialkot at 06:00 PM on the following day. Subsequently Shaheen Express will leave an Hour later that is 07:00 PM instead of 06:00 PM so that it could reach Wazirabad at 08:05 PM.

In addition both of these trains will make stop at Lodhran Railway station and Toba Tex Sing Railway station contrary to previous practice. This schedule was released by the Pakistan Railway spokes person. The decision was made after analyzing the trend in passenger demand and increase in passenger on the said route.

It is worth mentioning that Pak Railways has earlier announced its updated winter timetable, which came into effect from October the 15th. In addition a new stop was added at Kahairpur Railway station for Pakistan express. After a long time there is an increase in passenger for Pakistan Railways. This is viewed by public as an positive indicator for the economy.
