To ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply during the month of Ramadan, particularly during Sehr and Iftar hours, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued guidelines.
Khurram Dastagir, the minister of power, has given electrical supply firms instructions to make sure there is always power during these critical moments.
In order to enable Taraweeh prayers, the minister has also directed the DISCOs to apply a “zero-load management” policy before and after Sehr and to guarantee power supply before Iftar and after three hours of Iftar.
The power providers have been instructed to create special teams at the division and sub-division levels to address electricity-related concerns during Ramadan.
