Ramadan 2023 to Begin on 23 March in Pakistan

Ramadan will officially begin on Thursday, March 23, in Pakistan after the sighting of the Ramadan crescent was confirmed there.

The declaration was made by Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, who certified that the moon had been spotted across the nation.

After Wednesday night, several people saw the crescent, leading to the confirmation of the event. The committee, entrusted with identifying the beginning of Islamic months, later confirmed the sighting.

Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, pray, and perform deeds of kindness during Ramadan, one of the most significant months in the Islamic calendar. It is a time for introspection, self-control, and greater adoration of Allah.

The sighting of the crescent moon, which can differ depending on the location and weather, signals the beginning of Ramadan.

Muslims all throughout Pakistan are currently getting ready for Ramadan by purchasing food and materials. For millions of Muslims worldwide, it is a time of joy, celebration, and spiritual rejuvenation.
