A local news outlet said that Punjab’s provincial administration will begin summer holidays on June 1 due to rising heat.

Maqbool Ahmed, Secretary School Education, said a summary will be given to the Punjab Chief Minister for approval.

Students will have time to relax and recover before returning to school in the second or third week of August. Last year, summer holidays were June 6–August 15.

Secretary School Education Punjab Maqbool Ahmad said the holidays summary will be provided to the Punjab Chief Minister next week. The scorching heat and student and staff safety prompted the decision.

Parents and students can enjoy a much-needed break from school to spend time with family and relax.

All education stakeholders will applaud the government’s move to offer youngsters time to recharge before school starts.
