A news conference was conducted at the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore to announce the formal launch of an e-Registration portal for private colleges by the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab.
The website was developed to achieve the department’s digitization goals while also assuring data efficiency, transparency, accessibility, and security for all stakeholders, according to HED Secretary Punjab Javed Akhter Mahmood.
Mahmood continued by saying that the new strategy will make it simpler for owners of private colleges to register their establishments because they can now do so in just a few easy steps. The technology will also be used to renew college owners’ electronic licences.
The HED Secretary claims that the e-portal will give students and parents details about private universities and their curricula. He expressed his gratitude to the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for providing technical support in the implementation of a number of ICT initiatives, including the e-Registration portal.
