A technical issue forced a private airliner’s flight from Islamabad to Jeddah to make an emergency stop at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. The captain immediately alerted Karachi Air Traffic Control to the problem while there were more than 150 passengers on board, and the aircraft made a successful landing at the airport.
The flight was initially supposed to land in Jeddah, but it was diverted due to the urgent inspections needed after the incident, say airport authorities.
A medical emergency forced Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight PK-783 from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport to Toronto to stop at Oslo Airport in Norway earlier this week.
According to reports, the landing was necessary due to a medical emergency involving Syed Javed, a passenger on board, whose low blood pressure and unconsciousness required urgent medical care.
