A new train schedule for the summer has been released by Pakistan Railways (PR), and it will take effect on April 15.

The arrival and departure times of thirteen trains at various railway stations have been changed, while three trains have received temporary stoppages, according to the new timetable that was announced on Thursday.

In order to accommodate a high number of travellers, the department has also reinstituted the Shalimar Express between Lahore and Karachi. Saad Rafique, the minister of railways, demanded on Saturday that Green Line Express be refurbished along with Pak Business Express and Karakoram Express.

The meeting also covered the schedule for maintaining and modernising a number of other trains to offer passengers the best travel conveniences.

At the meeting, other business strategies to boost the Railways’ revenue were also addressed, including the utilisation of Railways land to produce income.

The Minister recently instructed pertinent departments to make sure that workers receive their paychecks before Eid ul-Fitr. According to a media report, the authorities were given orders to distribute the money by April 18.
