Pakistan may play India in the ODI World Cup 2023’s most anticipated match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15.
The neighbouring countries will play on Indian soil for the first time since the T20 World Cup 2016, with a large crowd expected at the renowned venue.
After a lavish opening ceremony in Ahmedabad, England will play New Zealand on October 5.
On October 13, the Men in Green will play a qualifier, while Rohit Sharma’s side will play Australia in Chennai.
Pakistan and Bangladesh could play nine matches each in Chennai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
Since only seven stadiums would host the event, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajkot, Indore, and Dharamshala are also shortlisted.
The BCCI was expected to announce the schedule after the IPL last week.
The Narendra Modi Stadium, with 132,000 seats, is the largest stadium in India and the globe.
