Pakistan has formally denounced the Holy Quran’s savagery in Denmark. Pakistan’s condemnation emphasises the significance of such actions. Disrespecting any religious text is regarded as deeply offensive and unacceptable in many cultures around the world.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that read, “The persistence of such deliberate and disgusting acts is a disturbing manifestation of escalating intolerance, racism, and fear against Muslims and their faith.”
The recurrence of such deliberate acts raises concerns about the effectiveness of the justice system, which provides a haven for those who despise Islam and promote hatred.
“The use of the right to freedom of expression cannot be used as a smokescreen to maliciously disparage the Holy Books or figures of any faith,” the statement continued. To prevent and prosecute such actions, we urge all States to build legal deterrence in accordance with their obligations under international human rights law.
Pakistan also urged the international human rights organisations to condemn such deliberate efforts that encourage hatred, prejudice, and violence against Muslims only because of their faith.
