Owing to the protest, severe traffic jams are anticipated around Islamabad.

After Jummah prayers, there may be traffic bottlenecks in all of Islamabad as political activists converge to demonstrate against the country’s escalating inflation.

The Police of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) have not yet issued a formal directive in this regard. Nonetheless, sources with knowledge of the situation have urged the public to refrain from unnecessary travel to or within the aforementioned places.

Bhara Kahu Fiasco

Another incident with a girder collapsing during installation and stopping traffic on both sides was reported yesterday on Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu flyover, which is still under construction. Luckily, nobody was killed in the incident.

In just a week, there had already been two catastrophic failures. In the first, the flyover’s shuttering and scaffolding fell, killing 2 workers and wounding 3 more.
The accidents have brought up important issues regarding the construction’s quality and the safety precautions being taken by the appropriate departments.
