Nida Dar and Shadab Khan are the first Pakistanis to each have 100 T20I wickets.

In the final match of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in Sharjah, renowned Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan reached yet another milestone in T20I cricket.

In the last game, the acting skipper bowled superbly, picking up three wickets and allowing just 13 runs in four overs while guiding his team to a 66-run triumph.

The leg-break spinner’s match-winning performance made him the first Pakistani and sixth overall to record 100 wickets in the game’s shortest format. The same accomplishment was made for Pakistan in the women’s game by Nida Dar, who is the sole Pakistani on the list of top wicket-takers.

In the list of top wicket-takers for Pakistan, the 24-year-old all-rounder eclipsed former captain Shahid Afridi, who finished with 98 wickets in 97 innings in the format.

The all-rounder, who was born in Mainwali, has taken 101 wickets in 83 innings with an average of 21.35 and a strike rate of 6.95. His best bowling figures are 4/8.

Shadab Khan expressed his gratitude for the honour of becoming the first Pakistani bowler to reach 100 wickets in the game’s shortest format after the game.

In the final game of the series, Shadab Khan was also named player of the match for his all-around efforts, including his three wickets and 28 runs off 17 balls.

It is important to note that Shadab was serving as the Men in Green’s stand-in captain for the first time during the series because Babar Azam, the team’s all-format captain, was out with an injury.
