Meta is expanding WhatsApp Channels to over 150 countries to boost engagement across its platforms.

These Channels offer a broadcast service, allowing users to receive private updates from celebrities, sports teams, and thought leaders.

Channels operate separately from chats, ensuring follower visibility remains private. Users can discover recommended channels by region and popularity and react to messages using emojis.

WhatsApp Channels will roll out globally in the coming weeks and months, allowing anyone with a WhatsApp account to create their own channel.
