Yesterday’s collision involving a Pink Bus Service vehicle on Shahrah-e-Faisal disrupted the movement of traffic on the major thoroughfare.
The road was slippery after a light rain, which led to the accident. Fortunately, none of the female passengers were hurt, despite minor damage to the bus.
When the bus lost control in the rain while heading towards Saddar, it collided with the safety wall and pathway of the Fauzia Wahab flypast.
All four lanes of the road were blocked when the bus made a left turn. Although heavy machinery was dispatched to remove the bus from the road, the police quickly arrived at the scene and diverted traffic to the other side of the street.
Not the First Accident Result
A few weeks ago, a crash involving a greenline metro bus in Karachi occurred close to Nagan Chowrangi.
A report claims that the bus driver abruptly used hard brakes, causing the bus to slide to one side and strike a fence. After the event, the bus sustained significant damage, and some passengers required immediate medical attention.
The accident’s cause was later made known by the driver, who claimed that a mysterious child who suddenly materialised on the track was to blame.
As stated by the driver, in an effort to avoid hitting the kid, he slammed on the brakes, which caused the bus to skid and crash into the fence on the other side. Around the pillars of the Nagan Chowrangi flyover, the GL-033 bus halted.
The accident was caused by a stray youngster getting on the bus track, as reported by both eyewitnesses and Shahid Taj, the Sir Syed Town police SHO.
