Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Commissioner of Lahore and Director General (DG) of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), has given the go-ahead for the creation of an online application submission system.
These instructions were given by him during a meeting that he presided over on Sunday.
Randhawa gave the LDA’s One Window Cell the order to start accepting citizen online applications the following week. He claimed that this move would make it easier for citizens to get LDA services delivered right to their front doors.
Randhawa also instructed LDA’s IT Wing to create the mobile application as quickly as feasible. He underlined that in addition to other services, the mobile app should offer a capability for online application submission.
The DG gave instructions for the One Window Cell to identify permanent focal points to handle matters pertaining to the Housing Directorate.
With the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board, he also suggested using IT, E-Khidmat, and other services to streamline the identification process and increase efficiency (PITB).
During the meeting, which was attended by the Additional DG Housing, Director of One Window Cell, Director of DG Headquarters, and Directors of the IT Wing, the DG also evaluated the One Window Cell’s performance.
