The Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer created and produced the regional jet aircraft known as the Embraer ERJ-145. From its initial release in 1996, the Embraer ERJ-145 has gained popularity among regional airlines all over the world.
Its design and cockpit are comparable to those of other aircraft in the Embraer Regional Jet (ERJ) family and it was created as a larger version of the Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia turboprop aircraft.
Throughout the years, the ERJ-145 has experienced a number of updates and enhancements, including the 2002 release of the ERJ-145XR variant, which has a longer range and greater fuel efficiency.
A regional plane with twin engines, the Embraer ERJ-145 has room for up to 50 people. It measures 29.87 metres in length and 20.04 metres (65.8 feet) in wingspan (98.0 feet).
The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 22,500 kilogrammes (49,600 pounds) and a maximum range of 2,963 kilometres (1,600 nautical miles) for the ERJ-145 and 3,704 kilometres (2,000 nautical miles) for the ERJ-145XR.
The ERJ-145 is powered by two turbofan engines, commonly either the AE 3007 or the CF34-8.
Regional airlines all over the world, including those in the United States, Brazil, China, India, France, and Australia, operate the Embraer ERJ-145.
The ERJ-145 is used by a number of well-known airlines, including American Eagle, United Express, China Southern Airlines, and Air France Hop.
Almost 1,200 ERJ-145 aircraft had been constructed and delivered to airlines all over the world as of September 2021.
