For Youm-e-Ali on April 12, DIG Ahmed Nawaz Cheema has announced a traffic diversion strategy.
On Ramadan 21, a procession in memory of Hazrat Ali will leave Nishtar Park at 1 pm and arrive at Hussainia Persian Imambargah, Kharadar, around 8 pm (RA).
Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father James Road, MA Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, Regal Chowk, Preedy Street, MA Jinnah Road once more, Boulton Market, Bhatti Bazaar, Kharadar, Nawab Mohabbat Khanji Road, and Hussainia Iranian Imambargah will all be travelled after passing through Nishtar Park in the procession.
All city traffic will be redirected to Nishtar Road once the procession exits Nishtar Park from Soldier Bazar (Bahadur Yar Jung Road), Coast Guards, and Anklesaria Chowk. To get to their destination, motorists travelling from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road will be detoured from Lasbela Chowk to Nishtar Road and then Garden.
Traffic from Liaquatabad going in the direction of MA Jinnah Road will be detoured to Martin Road and Prison Road from Teen Hati Chowk. The Prison Chowrangi Flyover, Jail Road, Jamshed Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, and Shahrah-e-Faisal are all accessible to these vehicles.
Traffic from New MA Jinnah Road to Stadium Road and back will be permitted. These vehicles can go via Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and Society Light from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Gulberg-to-MA Drivers on Jinnah Road will be detoured from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2 before continuing on to Mauripur from the Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, Shershah and Liaquatabad No. 10.
On the path of the procession, no traffic from Gurumandir Chowk would be permitted. All traffic, excluding vehicles with procession stickers on their windscreens, will go down Bahadur Yar Jung Road. Traffic should pass Society Office Chowrangi on its way from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi.
