Job Description

Role Overview: The Humanities Teacher at Al Jazeera Academy will motivate pupils to get a more thorough knowledge of the human experience, past and present, through subjects like History, Geography, and Social Studies. This position asks for a teacher able to bring challenging concepts to life, so inspiring critical thinking, study abilities, and a love of learning about societies, cultures, and the world around us.

While making sure kids participate in interesting, pertinent, and challenging content, you will develop and provide courses matched with the school’s curriculum and worldwide standards. Lessons will be designed, student work will be graded, and helpful criticism given. You will also promote an environment where polite discussion and debate are welcomed and different viewpoints are appreciated.

Supported by creative teaching aids and materials, lessons will be created to combine historical research, geographical investigation, and social understanding. Making Humanities topics more engaging and effective will call on you to include technology, project-based learning, and cross-curricular connections.

Student Development: Beyond providing information, the role entails assisting pupils in developing empathy, moral reasoning, and capacity to relate past events to current events. You will motivate students to analyze the world and their roles as global citizens through fieldwork, discussions, and group activities.

Constant cooperation with colleagues across several departments guarantees students a well-rounded educational experience by means of collaboration and communication. Sharing progress reports and giving advice on how parents can aid learning at home will have you collaborating mostly with them. Your job will also include involvement in cultural activities, tournaments, and school excursions.
