Job Description

Position Summary: Our organization is looking for a Senior Cost Control Engineer to lead all budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking duties on a sizable, long-term construction project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be part of a team and thrive in an active pace, using their advanced analytical skills, along with previous experience, the cost engineer will track the costs of the projects throughout to all podcasts to ensure the project remains fiscally viable. As part of the project management team, the successful candidate must provide real-time forecasting information to support the project in reasonably decision making and cost control.

The main goal of this position is to create and track precise cost estimates, monitor budget performance, and present variations on all phases of building. You will keep an eye on material consumption, labor and equipment expenditures, procurement costs, as well as other financial indicators. Strong cost breakdown structures (CBS), change order tracking, and cost prediction knowledge are vital for effective project management and reduction of pointless expense.

Reporting and Documentation: As Senior Cost Control engineer, you will prepare periodic cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries that effectively communicate the performance of each asset relative to budget. Each report should summarize both an analytical and visual representation, which will facilitate the reader’s understanding of cost trends and potential risks at a glance. Accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting is critical since it will invariably influence the strategic decision-making of the executives at the highest level of the Organization.

Working with Stakeholders: You will provide project and construction managers with financial guidance on possible cost-saving ideas without sacrificing quality or schedules. Your job will entail gathering data, verifying cost effects, and evaluating financial implications of planned changes in concert with procurement, planning, and site execution teams. to the project timeline or scope.

High degree of familiarity with industry-standard cost control tools including Oracle ERP, SAP, Candy CCS, and sophisticated Excel is necessary in this role. Knowledge with project management systems and integration with scheduling tools such Primavera P6 would be quite advantageous. To back audits and compliance inspections, you have to be at ease establishing project cost control systems and keeping digital records.

Risk and Change Management: Recognizing financial risk and implementing risk mitigation strategies will be a primary responsibility. This includes assessing change orders and their financial implications; assisting with budget negotiations; and acting transparently in all financial matters. Your ability to function under pressure and provide information to decision makers in tight timelines will distinguish you.
