Role Overview: The Procurement Engineer – Electrical will be in charge of the entire process of obtaining, assessing, and procuring electrical materials and equipment, which are necessary for the construction and real estate development projects ongoing. It is essential for the position to have a proper and thorough understanding of electrical systems, specifications, and supplier markets to make sure the respective procurement is timely, cost-efficient, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities: The position includes the responsibility for the whole process of procurement of electrical materials, which comprises finding suppliers, making purchase orders, and supervising the compliance to the standards set for the project. The Engineer will scrutinize the quotes, evaluate the suppliers’ capabilities, and will be in charge of the negotiations regarding the contracts in order to realize the best quality, price, and delivery time. Working together with the engineering and project management teams is a must in order to cope with the changing project needs.

Procurement Strategy: The applicant will be the one to create and put into practice sourcing strategies that correspond to the company’s objectives. Monitoring supplier performance, market trend evaluation, and playing a role in vendor relationship management for maintaining a strong supply chain are some of the activities that will be done by the person in this position. Moreover, this role encompasses extending support in the area of cost optimization and assuring that procurement activities are in total compliance with both corporate policies and government regulations.

Technical Expertise: The perfect applicant will always come with exceptional expertise in electrical materials, construction specifications, and relevant standards. Prior working on ERP systems like Oracle and having proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is a must. The possessing of strong technical evaluation skills is a must for the supplier proposals to be verified and the materials to be guaranteed to meet the needed technical specifications.
