Job Overview: The Procurement Coordinator is a pivotal point within Emirates Reem Investments Company PJSC supply chain operations. This position bears the primary responsibility for the procurement activities of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in general and Jeema Mineral Water, a company brand, in particular. By acquiring the required materials, equipment, and services with utmost efficiency and minimal costs, the coordinator directly and significantly contributes to the company’s operational success as well as overall profitability.

Role Objective: The primary role of the Procurement Coordinator is to ensure a smooth purchasing process while aligning procurement strategies with the company’s objectives. The coordinator would be required to create and manage vendor relations, deliver goods on time, and enforce company policies especially pertaining to quality and compliance. Moreover, this role is instrumental in resource optimization and locating prospective areas for cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities: The Procurement Coordinator takes control of all purchasing processes from the very beginning of supplier sourcing and through contract negotiations, he/she is responsible for the entire purchase order process and proper documentation. Thus, the position entails proactivity in keeping the supplier databases up to date, coordination of logistics among the different internal departments, and granting that every decision regarding procurement is not only within the operational deadlines and budgetary limits but also technically sound.

Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: One of the very important duties of this position lies in detecting new suppliers, examining the prices of the competitors, and working out favorable conditions that are in accordance with the organization’s objectives regarding cost-efficiency. Along with these, the coordinator will also study market trends, check the availability of the materials, and set benchmarks for supplier performance.
