Nursery Teacher (The Villa – Spring Term) Job

Job Description
- Engage in activities with all children to ensure their safety while facilitating their physical, emotional, and educational growth.
- Implement planned educational activities and learning programs while promoting independent learning.
- Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Foster supportive relationships with children and parents, tailoring interactions to meet individual needs.
- Encourage acceptance and inclusion of all children, utilizing appropriate skills to adapt activities to accommodate diverse needs.
- Monitor, assess, and document children’s individual needs using the Learning and Development Profile Book.
- Develop action plans as necessary to support children’s learning progress.
- Take responsibility for the care, welfare, health, safety, and security of all children within the nursery.
- Act as a positive role model and promote positive behavior in accordance with the nursery’s policies and procedures.
- Prepare displays that stimulate verbal and receptive responses from children.
- Participate in the assessment of children’s work and development and prepare reports as required.
- Actively engage in training programs, attend professional development activities, and contribute to the annual appraisal process.
- Contribute to the nursery’s social and extracurricular activities, assisting with organization as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A university degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, accompanied by a certified vocational certificate in the care and education of young children (Level III).
- Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with a certified vocational certificate in the care and education of young children (CACHE Level 3), along with a minimum of two years of experience in child care or education.
