IT L1 and L2 Support Engineer

So here’s the deal Pact Employment’s hunting for an IT L1/L2 Support Engineer. The gig’s based out in Dubai or Sharjah, and yeah, they’ll pay up to AED 5k. Not exactly yacht money, but hey, it’s something.

You need at least two years

At IT support under your belt. Not “I fixed my mom’s laptop once” kind of experience — they want someone who actually knows their way around.

Stuff you gotta be good at

– All the usual Level 1 and 2 support chaos.
– Windows Server wizardry — gotta know your way around that admin panel.
– Active Directory, group policies, the whole shebang.
– DHCP and DNS — if you don’t know what those are, just keep scrolling.
– VMware. Virtualization. Basically, pretend servers are your jam.
– Backups. Because, let’s face it, people will mess things up and blame you.
– Endpoint security. Keeping things locked down.
– Windows 10/11 support. Yes, you’ll probably have to explain to someone why their printer isn’t working. Again.
– Fixing servers, laptops, desktops — basically, if it plugs in, you’re on it.
– Wi-Fi and printers. AKA the stuff everyone complains about.
– Basic networking, some firewall knowledge — you don’t need to be a CCNA or anything, but you should know your ports from your protocols.
– Office 365? Huge plus. If you’ve wrangled Outlook for someone, you’re halfway there.

and If you’ve only done this stuff back home? Still counts. They’re not picky about where you learned, just that you did.
