Horticulturist Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Horticulturist to fill an immediate opening. Our company offers landscape maintenance, restoration, and design services to a diverse range of clients. In this role, you will conduct soil tests and inspect land areas, then work closely with the design team to select the most suitable plants for the garden or planting area, based on soil type and client expectations. We are looking for candidates with at least three years of professional horticulture experience and ASHS certification.
Horticulturist Duties and Responsibilities
– Support landscape maintenance, restoration, and design tasks.
– Install and nurture both functional and decorative plants.
– Transplant and prune shrubs and small trees.
– Weed landscape beds and assist with mulching.
– Identify and address potential pests or diseases.
– Offer plant care guidance to team members and clients.
Horticulturist Requirements and Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or a related field (or an associate degree with equivalent experience).
– ASHS certification is a plus.
– 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or working with diverse plant types preferred.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
– Strong attention to detail.
