Gardener Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled and dependable gardener to manage and maintain our company garden. Responsibilities include general upkeep, planting new trees, servicing garden machinery, performing regular pruning, and recommending cost-effective gardening methods to management.
The successful candidate should be physically fit, able to handle both small and heavy machinery, and have a thorough understanding of effective gardening techniques. A friendly and professional demeanor is also essential for this role.
Responsibilities
– Maintain and enhance the garden to meet specific requirements and expectations.
– Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing the lawn, emptying bins, controlling weeds, and raking leaves.
– Plant and care for new trees, flowers, and various plants.
– Operate hand tools and light machinery, including plant vehicles and small diggers.
– Service all garden equipment and machinery.
– Keep the garden clean by removing rubbish and litter from the grounds.
– Offer guidance to management on garden-related matters.
– Provide detailed written quotations and reports on the costs of plants and garden supplies.
– Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by following health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
– Proficiency in operating various horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.
– Extensive knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
– Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
– Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and legislation.
