Job Description

Job Overview: The Foreman – Civil will be in charge of supervising and managing civil engineering works at the construction sites. Safety being the number one concern, the supervisor will have to make sure that all activities are carried out in a systematic way, adhering to the approved drawings and specifications, and also at the minimum cost possible. This position demands a construction technique to have a hands-on understanding, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle large teams of workers in shifting project environments. The applicant who is preferred will have the experience of handling works with concrete, formwork, masonry, and structural finishing in major projects in Abu Dhabi and Ajman.

Key Responsibilities: The Foreman would be playing a vital part in every day to day planning operations, allotting workers, and making sure of the effective flow of communication between the engineers and the subcontractors. The Foreman would be reading and interpreting technical drawings, and checking materials beforehand as well as supervising all civil operations on-site as per his duties. The candidate’s responsibilities include ensuring that the work done is up to the safety, quality, and schedule standards. The foreman will have to oversee the usage of equipment, the productivity of labor, and the timely completion of the assigned works in addition to that.

Project Supervision: The Foreman – Civil will take care of all civil activities, including excavation, foundations, reinforcement, pouring of concrete, and finishing, as well as supervising all civil activities on-site. The candidate will be expected to keep daily records of the work done, and report problems if any, and help to solve them very quickly. The collaboration with the site engineer and project manager would be very important to ensure that the work carried out is in line with the project plan,
