Job Summary: For a long-term building project situated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), we need a highly competent and detail-oriented Fabrication Shop Engineer. This is a great chance for a professional with extensive knowledge of steel manufacturing methods, quality control, and shop floor management to assist in one of the greatest industrial advancements in the area.

Main Responsibilities: As a Fabrication Shop Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day shop functions, managing fabrication schedules, collaborating with production teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You will be the primary point of connection between design and execution – facilitating and managing the accurate and timely fabrication of steel products.

Shop Floor Management: To ensure a smooth operation, you will schedule the flow of materials, labor, and equipment. A major focus of your work will involve tracking the progress of jobs as well as enforcing discipline on the shop floor. You will be required to be present during welding or fitting projects as well as inspections.

Quality Assurance & Control: You will ensure that all fabricated components conform to applicable codes and client standards. Each month, you will work with the quality team and also third-party inspectors to verify dimensional verification, weld verification, and finishes. Plans must be taken to address items not in compliance into a corrective action plan.

Technical Expertise: Critical is a solid knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding symbols, tolerances, and codes including ASME, AWS, and ISO. You will have to correctly interpret engineering drawings and lead the staff through intricate assembly and welding processes in addition to fixing fabricating problems on-site.

Team Collaboration: You will work with the Engineering, Procurement, and Site Execution teams to ensure components arrive on-time. You will also meet regularly with supervisors, production leads, and QA/QC to monitor KPIs and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
