Job Description
We are currently looking for four experienced Cold Cutting Operators to join our team. These operators will be responsible for using cold cutting equipment and tools to perform precise cutting tasks on rig jobs. This position requires significant experience with cold cutting, strong mechanical skills, and a dedication to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate cold cutting machines and tools to cut metal components, pipes, and structures in rig settings.
Execute cold cutting tasks based on specific measurements, drawings, and work orders.
Ensure precision and quality in all cuts, adjusting equipment settings as necessary.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on cold cutting machinery to ensure efficient operation.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials.
Work closely with rig crews and project teams to plan and carry out cutting operations safely and efficiently.
Keep detailed records of work activities, including equipment settings, materials used, and any challenges encountered.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
At least five years of experience as a Cold Cutting Operator in rig jobs or similar industrial environments.
Welding experience and certifications are a plus.
Mechanical diploma or hands-on experience in lathe machine operations is required.
Skilled in operating and maintaining cold cutting equipment and tools.
Strong knowledge of rig operations, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team.
Physically capable of performing tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
