The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued 162 recommendations and security alerts to the telecom sector during the last four years.

According to a document made available to ProPakistani, the PTA issued 39 cyber security warnings and alerts with the telecom sector in 2018-19.In 2019-20, bPTA shared 40 cyber security recommendations and alerts with the telecom sector. The authorities shared 48 and 35 warnings and security alerts with the telecom sector in 2020-21 and 2021-22, respectively.

According to the Authority, the most significant component of the nTCERT website is the newest security warnings and alerts for the general public, as well as awareness messages about Internet safety.

It also offers information on capacity building and workshops, as well as the most recent information on the Critical Telecom Data and Infrastructure Security Regulation (CTDISR). The PTA gets feedback from the general public on new dangers and suggestions for improvement via nTCERT.

According to the PTA, the Authority obtains a high-level perspective of the security posture of various telecom organisations via the nTCERT platform. Additionally, telecommunications can exchange event facts and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) with the authority anonymously.
