The registration dates for Hajj 2023 have been announced by the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The official statement states that Hajj registration in the UAE will begin on February 13th. It will come to an end on March 10th. This year’s Hajj is expected to begin around June 26.
Residents who wish to participate in the Hajj must apply through the authority’s digital platforms and smart applications.
They can sign up with a few mouse clicks. All they have to do is go to the authority’s digital platforms and smart application and click on the ‘Hajj Registration’ tab, then enter their Emirates ID and phone number.
Saudi Arabia announced last month that there will be no limit on the number of people who can perform Hajj this year. After three years of strict restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pilgrimage ban was lifted.
Tawfiq al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, stated that the pilgrimage will be conducted as before the pandemic, with no age restrictions. This means that anyone can perform Hajj, not just those under the age of 65, as was previously the case.
