The deadline for Hajj applications has been extended to April 7, 2023, according to a Friday announcement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
Aspiring pilgrims can now submit their Hajj applications via the sponsorship scheme until April 7, according to a recent ministry statement (Friday).
“Today, prospective pilgrims have until April 7, 2023, to submit their applications. It is asked that a postponement of the application deadline for the sponsorship programme be informed to all missions so that Pakistanis living abroad are made aware of it “The sentence was read.
Prior to today, March 31, the ministry had ruled out the prospect of extending the deadline and asked aspiring pilgrims to submit their Hajj applications and fees within the allotted time frame.
Also, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) published a list of banks where prospective pilgrims can submit their paperwork and fees.

The notification stated that from March 16 to April 2, 2023, “Hajj applications and Hajj dues are being placed by the intending pilgrims in the above-designated banks.”
It stated that the ministry mandates that applications and fees from pilgrims be collected by all designated banks on closed holidays, i.e., Saturday and Sunday (April 1 and 2).
To help the pilgrims, the central bank asked the aforementioned banks to open all of their branches on the specified days.
