The official Hajj scheme’s scheduled balloting, which was due to occur on April 5th, has been postponed. The new draw date will reportedly be revealed at a later point, per sources.
It is important to note that the registration period for Hajj 2023 is almost over, and the draw is scheduled to select pilgrims for this year’s journey. This year’s Hajj will be possible for these fortunate people.
The government’s decision to extend the deadline for sponsored Hajj until April 7th was the cause for the draw’s postponement.
14 banks, including HBL, UBL, NBP, MCB, Allied Bank, ZTBL, BoP, Meezan Bank, Bank Alfalah, Habib Metro Bank, Soneri Bank, Faysal Bank, Askari Bank, and Bank Al-Habib, have been selected by the government Hajj scheme to accept applications for the pilgrimage.
During the holy month of Ramadan, these institutions will be open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM every day, with the exception of Fridays, when they will be open from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Applications for the Hajj under the government programme must be submitted by Friday, April 7.
