Emirates must cancel flights due to widespread protests

Due to widespread demonstrations in the transportation industry, Emirates, one of the top airlines in the world, was forced to halt service to two important European cities. The flights to/from Frankfurt and Munich have been cancelled for March 26 and 27.

Those who have already purchased tickets are asked to contact the travel agencies to make new reservations, according to a statement from Emirates.

This development follows the announcements by Frankfurt Airport of a strike on Monday and Munich Airport of a closure for passenger activity on Sunday and Monday. Around 400,000 passengers are expected to be affected by this suspension of operations over the course of these two days.

Germany has seen a lot of airport protests in recent weeks, with workers calling for salary increases in light of the rising cost of living. Moreover, a number of other airlines have cancelled their itineraries through Germany. These airlines include British Airways, Lufthansa, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, among others.

A similar situation had occurred last month owing to the same cause when Emirates suspended its flights to/from Dusseldorf. The airline issued an apology to its clients and suggested them make travel plans through travel agencies.
