Elon Musk tweeted that Twitter’s first female CEO will take over in six weeks.
According to sources, Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal’s Head of Advertising, will become Twitter’s CEO once Musk becomes Executive Chairman and CTO.
I’m pleased to announce X/Twitter’s new CEO. Starting in 6 weeks!
I will become exec chair and CTO, managing product, software, and sysops.

Musk will oversee “product, software, and sysops,” per the specifics. After buying Twitter for $44 billion, Musk became CEO.
After finding “someone foolish enough” to accept the offer, he resigned as CEO in December.
The Wall Street Journal stated that Yaccarino is negotiating with Musk for the top job. A Silicon Valley official also verified Musk’s expected appointment of Yaccarino.
In December 2018, Musk tweeted a survey in which 57.5% of respondents wanted him to resign as Twitter CEO.
Musk’s first two weeks as Twitter’s owner were turbulent in October 2022. In November, he sacked half of Twitter’s employees and ousted former CEO Parag Agrawal.
