An electricity customer in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) received a much higher-than-expected electricity bill. The bill totaled more than 13.7 million rupees, which came as a huge surprise to the customer.
When the bill arrived, the consumer went straight to the electricity department to resolve the problem.
The Secretary of Electronics GB ordered an immediate investigation into the matter, believing that the high bill amount was the result of a data entry operator error.
The Secretary explained that the bill was from December and was the result of an operator data entry error. He stated that the operator had been suspended and that an investigation into the matter had been ordered.
