For the impending Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a 10% price cut on domestic flights on Thursday.
Details indicate that on April 22 and 23, travellers flying domestically will be able to benefit from this discount.
Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique gave the CEO of the national flag carrier specific orders to announce the Eid-ul-Fitr package, which aims to ease domestic travel throughout the holiday season.
In response to the Minister’s order, PIA has launched this initiative to help its clients and increase everyone’s access to and affordability of air travel.
On the other hand, the federal government just sent out a notification regarding the approaching Eid holidays.
According to the announcement, Pakistani residents will take a five-day vacation from April 21 to April 25 in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, a joyous occasion that heralds the conclusion of the fasting month of Ramadan.
According to scientific forecasts, April 22, Saturday, is the most likely date for Eid-ul-Fitr to occur. To gather proof of the Shawwal crescent sighting, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on April 20, which is Ramadan 29, in the evening.
Scientific analysis predicts that the new crescent will be born around 9:13 am on April 20 and that it will be less than 10 hours old at that time, making it exceedingly unlikely that Eid-ul-Fitr would fall on Friday, April 21, 2023.
As a result, Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 is anticipated to be observed on April 22 after Ramadan’s 30-day fast has ended.
