Punjab University has declared that it would be closed from today, April 20, until Tuesday, April 25, in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Students and faculty members will have the opportunity to enjoy the festivities with their loved ones.

However, the institution has declared that, in lieu of the additional holiday on Thursday, April 20, Saturday, May 6, will be a working day.

This means that students and faculty members must attend classes and complete their assignments as usual on that day.

The decision was made to guarantee that academic progress is not jeopardised by the extended holiday break.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, on the other hand, will hold the official meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee tonight in Islamabad.

The purpose of this conference is to locate the crescent moon of Shawwal 1444 AH, which will determine when Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 will be observed throughout the country.
