Dubai will build a number of rest areas for delivery riders.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has published a tender for UAE companies to create rest areas for delivery riders as part of a collaboration. RTA seeks to increase the happiness of delivery riders by providing services including upkeep, refuelling, rest places, and meals.

RTA will construct three deliverymen’s rest areas at the following locations:

Near the Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali Village is Sheikh Zayed Road.
Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, next to Al Manama Street. Port Saeed, next to Al Muraqabat Street 22.
At these stops, RTA will also distribute informative pamphlets on public safety. In Dubai, there are now 2,891 enterprises providing delivery services, a 48.3% increase from December 2022.

Investment in the delivery industry can strengthen Dubai’s economy and yield high rewards (ROIs). Additionally, it will solidify its place as a major player in this market.
