Dubai permits fee increases for the upcoming school year in private institutions

In Dubai, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has approved a 3 percent tuition fee increase for private schools for the academic year 2023–2024.

The choice was taken after considering Dubai’s present economic climate and the costs associated with running private schools in order to maintain a high standard of instruction.

It’s vital to note that the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau’s inspection rating determines how much a school can raise its tuition costs.

Private schools are permitted to raise fees by 3% while maintaining the same inspection rating. However, schools that saw a decline in their inspection grade would not be eligible for a fee increase.

most recent inspection report, Pakistani private schools in Dubai have significantly improved their ranking. Two private schools with Pakistani curricula, Gulf Model School and Pakistan Education Academy, have gone from receiving “poor” to “acceptable” ratings.

The CEO of the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau, Fatma Belrehif, expressed satisfaction with the changes while pointing out that there was still room for development in a number of areas, including data collecting, teaching quality, planning, and self-evaluation.
