China Launches Oppo’s Most Powerful Phones

The newest Find X6 series from Oppo has been announced, and it offers advancements in every area, including the most stunning camera system yet. We currently only have access to the Find X6 and X6 Pro, and they are only available in China.

A 6.82-inch 1440p AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate is one of the device’s highlights. At a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, Oppo claims that its panel is the brightest in the entire globe.

Internally, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM (256GB model, UFS 4.0) or 16 GB  RAM with 256/512 GB, UFS 4.0). There is no memory card slot for expansion.

Oppo asserts that it is ushering in the “period of the Three Primary Camera.” The Find X6 Pro’s three rear cameras all use the largest sensors available for smartphones in their specific categories.

The main camera sports a 23mm f/1.8 lens and a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, both of which are also used on the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro. A 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor, one of the largest sensors ever used in an ultrawide camera, is housed in the 15mm f/2.2 ultrawide lens. For close-up images, it can also function as a macro sensor.

Moreover, a periscope camera with a 65mm equivalent focal length, the same 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor, and a brilliant f/2.6 aperture is available. Both of these features are novel for periscope cameras. It has a 6x hybrid zoom capability.

With its exclusive MariSilicon X imaging processor, Oppo is also enhancing the capabilities of its most recent cameras. This processor offers quicker focusing and greater precision, as well as an industry-leading 42% image stabilisation range for the periscope camera.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro shares the same 32MP IMX709 sensor as the front camera on this device. In front of it is a large 21mm f/2.4 lens.

A 5,000 mAh battery powers the Find X6 Pro. It supports cable charging at 100W Super VOOC (28 minutes to 100%) and wireless charging at 50W Air VOOC (52 minutes to 100%). 80% of the battery’s initial capacity will still be present after 1,600 charging cycles, according to Oppo, which is double the industry average.

In China, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is available for $946.

The Locate X6 has a Dimensity 9200 chipset and a 6.74-inch 1080p display with an adjustable refresh rate between 40Hz and 120Hz. Also, the Locate X6 is only IP64 rated.

The Find X6 downgrades the primary sensor to the IMX890, matching the telephoto camera, while keeping the 50MP resolution of all three cameras. The JN1 (1/2.76-inch) sensor is smaller on the ultrawide camera, but it still has autofocus and can take macro photos up to 3 cm away. The most important feature is the periscope zoom, which leads the industry.

The Find X6 lacks wireless charging capability and has a slightly smaller 4,800 mAh battery with 80W cable charging.

The starting price for the vanilla version is $655.

Remember that for the time being, these two phones are exclusively offered in China.
