CDA to turn off 50% Lights on Roads of Islamabad to Save Energy

Under the federal government’s energy conservation plan, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday chose to turn off 50% of the lights along city highways.

To ensure optimum convenience for the residents at night, all street lights will remain on in residential zones, according to a CDA official.

The government’s endeavour to preserve energy through austerity measures is being spearheaded by the CDA. In this regard, the CDA has asked that those living in the nation’s capital refrain from wasting electricity. Efforts should be made to conserve as much energy as possible.
