To address the province’s lack of medical professionals in rural areas, the administration of Balochistan issued an order on Wednesday to urgently hire doctors.
A report from the Health Secretary, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, was authorised by the Chief Minister (CM), Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, who also ordered the ad hoc/contract hiring of 897 male and female physicians.
The available roles include senior registrars, assistant professors, dental surgeons, medical officers, and specialists.
The recently employed doctors will be dispatched to outlying areas where they are right now required. The government wants to end the physician shortage and give the general public access to healthcare in their communities.
The newly hired doctors won’t be sent to any of the province’s major hospitals, according to CM Bizenjo.
The hiring procedure will be supervised by a commission chaired by the health secretary, and the IT division will create a management system to ensure the productivity and punctuality of newly hired employees.
