According to a declaration from the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, registration for Aetikaf 2023 will start on 4 April (13 Ramadan) and last until 19 Ramadan, Saudi Media reported earlier this week.
The Aetikafin Masjid-e-Nabvi application will only be approved through the “Zairon” app, according to a statement from the Harmain Sharifian administration.
On the other hand, according to Saudi media, Aetikaf registration at Masjid al-Haram started on March 23 and is being done so through the “NUSUK” app.
Muslims all over the world have expressed excitement and anticipation in response to the news of Aetikaf registration because they view it as a chance to strengthen their ties to God during the fasting month of Ramadan. Historically, during this time, Makkah and Medina see a significant increase in tourists, and it is anticipated that this pattern will continue this year.
The General Presidency has declared that those taking part in I’tikaf must show documentation of their COVID-19 vaccination as part of Saudi Arabia’s attempts to contain the virus.
