A Driver’s License Can Now Be Obtained in Lahore by Anyone.

Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP) will make the licencing process easier for the general public on specific instructions from caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and IG Punjab. From now on, residents of the entire nation will be able to obtain a driving licence in Lahore.

Captain Mustansar Firoz, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, stated that hundreds of thousands of ID holders from other districts and provinces will be able to take advantage of the licence amenities offered by Lahore. Lahore will also be able to issue licences to foreign nationals from other nations, he continued.

Prior to this, the capital of Punjab would only issue licences to Lahore ID users. In order to acquire a permanent licence, applicants can now attend any licence centre with their National Identity Card (NIC) and a copy of a learner permit after 42 days.

Liberty Market and Manawan Center will stay open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for the convenience of the public. However, the licence services at Arfa Karim Testing Center, Greater Iqbal, Defense Center, and Bahria Town will continue to be available from 8:00 am to 12:00 am. Additionally, the department has set up 23 licence centers, 6 testing sites, and 3 mobile vans across the city.
