The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) enforcement section destroyed 600 unlawful constructions as part of a large operation that started on Wednesday in C series sectors.

According to a source with access to the material, the enforcement wing destroyed 480 unlawful houses in Sector C-13, 150 houses and ten agro farms in Sector C-16, and two rooms in Sector C-14 using heavy machinery. Nine residents were also detained by the department for hindering the operation.

The CDA chairman gave the go-ahead for the operation, which would last until all illegal constructions have been destroyed. The government will also disclose compensation for impacted people and their families.

 

Flats for Pakistanis living abroad

Ishaq Dar, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, gave the order to CDA to urgently finish 2,000 apartments for Pakistanis living abroad.

Finance SAPM the SAPM on Revenue Tariq Bajwa Senior personnel from the Finance Division and CDA, as well as Tariq Pasha, Secretary Finance, Chairman CDA, Member (Planning & Design) CDA, attended the meeting.

A housing project named Nilore Heights-I is nearing completion, and over 6,000 applications from 81 nations have been received for its 2000 apartments, according to the CDA.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Finance Minister, gave the CDA authorities instructions to expedite the development projects for Pakistanis living abroad.
